This may be a bit more simple.

The question is: What price are people likely to sell PALM?

$38 was the IPO and there were ?M buyers.
PALM traded down from $165 to current price where there were ?M buyers.

There has been low volume in PALM until recently, where it seems people are getting motivated to own it based on the recent good results. (Buying interest)

All things being equal, these people will likely not be sellers in the near term.

There will be some automatic sellers: Institutions that do not want to hold PALM for various reasons, long time 3Com holders who believe that the ship has come in.

However, the biggest risk to the price of PALM is the overall market. There are some that are calling for a big bear market. While PALM has performed well against the trend recently, it would be unlikely to hold up against a wave of a big bear market. This may or may not happen but its probably the only thing that would really keep the price from moving upward.
