POSITIVE METALLURGICAL RESULTS RECEIVED FOR PAN GOLD DEPOSIT
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPOKANE, WA, June 28, 2000; Latitude Minerals Corp. (LTU.CDNX) is pleased to announce highly encouraging column leach metallurgical test results from its Pan gold deposit, White Pine County, Nevada. Testing was performed by N.A. Degerstrom Labs, Spokane, Washington on core samples obtained from the South Pan deposit area. Eight 3.5" diameter columns were run, with percent gold leached ranging from 58.1 % to 93.2% (Table 1) over a 20-day leach period. Seven of the eight columns have a percent gold leached amount of 76.0% or greater. Material leached in columns 1-4 is mostly silicified Pilot shale, the same host rock as that found at Latitude¹s North Pan Red Hill and Pilot Ridge target areas, where Latitude is currently concentrating its Phase II drilling and is encountering higher-grade, structurally-controlled mineralization. Columns 4-8 were run on typical argillized Devils Gate limestone, which hosts the majority of the South Pan deposit.
Overall, all columns showed fair to very good leachability of the gold. All columns showed low cyanide consumption, specifically between 0.07 and 0.24 lbs/Ton (Table 1). The gold leached very quickly, mostly within five days, with minor additional leaching after twenty days. Most of the columns showed that even the coarse size fractions leached well, similar to the finer size fractions. It is very likely that these South Pan ore types could be leached as run-of-mine with no crushing, although this concept will have to be tested with larger diameter core samples.

During a subsequent phase of drilling, the plan is to drill additional large-diameter core, and run several column leach tests on the Red Hill and Pilot Ridge areas of North Pan.
