Re: Corvis, Will It really go to any length? Hi dave, I mentioned a while back that I harbored a bit of skepticism about Corvis and its claims to 3,200KM unregenerated FO transmissions. Well, it appears that their tests with Broadwing and Williams may be supplying the answer as to the true capability of Corvis' gear. Tests completed to date have come no where near the touted distance. [Aside: fac, note that this appears to be yet another instance of special stock considerations for customers, in keeping with our discussion of SCreaMeR, another benefactor of Williams decision makers, and AVNX. Seems that this brave new world of fiber optics needs a good helping of baksheesh to keep the party going.
