I can't find a link, but I believe that I saw somewhere that some chipset lines had been converted to CPUs production (maybe that's where those katmais are comiing from).

Another thing. Given that it's contractually obligated to support Rambus, turning a big chunk of its chipset business over to VIA may be the only way Intel can stay competitive as DDR begins to dominates the high end.

And Intel won't have had anything to do with the dumping of Rambus - it'll be VIA's "fault".
