ELASTIC NETWORKS INC. FILES REGISTRATION STATEMENT FOR INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING

June 30, 2000, Atlanta: Elastic Networks Inc. announced that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities
and Exchange Commission to register an as-of-yet undetermined number of shares of its common stock for sale
by it and a selling security holder to the public. Elastic designs, develops and markets high-speed digital subscriber
line, or DSL, communications products. Chase H&Q Robertson Stephens and UBS Warburg LLC are serving as
the managing underwriters. Elastic anticipates that the offering will commence in September 2000.

Copies of the preliminary prospectus may be obtained when available from Chase H&Q, One Bush Street, San
Francisco, California 94104.

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission
