Dawg's critic report.
Movie "Perfect Storm"
Rating 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

This was a refreshing movie that was based on a true story.
Although no story told in the movies is 100% accurate I feel that the writers did their best to maintain the basis of a true story while keeping in tact the actual events.

The action and the special effects were outstanding all the while keeping in tact the story line. The special effects although great, still maintained the story plot and you were immediately taken in by all the action.

Perfect Storm in this critics opinion is not a story about small town fisherman getting caught in the storm of the century but it is a story about men and their will to survive in grave situations. It is for all intented purposes a story about Mankind's will to survive in the face of Mother Nature and all she can throw out at you. The sea is unforgiving and without emotion. This point is not overlooked in this film.

The ending left something to be desired but as with all true stories the ending is not what we all want it to be. It is after all an accounting of events.
