She will get into the 'hang' of summer without camp soon...Probably she and her friends will soon be doing their own day camp....each spending a day at each house....OH JOY! But truly, it is good for kids to figure out their own entertainment...IMO, that's what childhood is about...learning, and thinking, and doing things on their own...with adults to be there for moral support and to make sure they don't hurt themselves. (Here I have to be an old fuddy', but I really think that some of the 'children' on SI would have been better off if they grew up believing that the world didn't center on them...)
