Predictions:

What I don't see being discussed on this board is that Q is a far more attractive buy than Sprint now especially since they have USW -- that gives then ownership on a lot of 'last mile'. If DT were interested in buying them for their LD business, I think anyone thinking that is rather naive. Anyone wanting to buy Sprint would do so for for the wireless business, not so much the LD business. So, here's what I think we might see:

1. DT gets interested in Qwest and BLS and buys them out on a joint deal
2. Sprint splits up its wireless and LD business - (they've done it int he past with their cellular business), sells the wireless business at a high price, and the LD business at some throw away price
3. DT also looks at the option of buying SBC (and I believe they have discussed a deal rather seriously in the recent past), but doesn't go with it - too many egos, too large a beast for DT to swallow.

Thoughts anyone?
