As you know, I have counseled caution, publicly and privately, with respect to the speculation over Edwarda's passing on this thread. Upon reflection, I see some agreement and some disagreement with Geo, KR, Chris and Neeny. I do feel that the posted speculation about the cause of Edwarda's death is unduly intrusive. I worry about the effect on her family, especially her niece and nephew. At times, the speculation seems almost ghoulish to me. And yet, I understand fully how we all felt a need to be involved. To feel as if we were contributing in some way. Posting was for some the only way to be involved and express this concern. Edwarda touched so many people with her kind and gentle spirit we could not let her predicament go unaddressed. To do so would have been unthinkable. She often melded her 3-D and 2-D life. Her friendships with myself and E are but two examples. That some of us chose to get involved in a 3-D way speaks again the the kind of lady she was.

I think it is wise to consider that we may never know what the ultimate cause of death was. We must look first to the wishes of the family. We must consider their feelings. I am sure our concerns would be appreciated by Edwarda. In the end, we may never know and we had best be prepared to accept that. JLA
