This current issue seems to have been "Underblown" - and rightfully so.

The Taiwan Earthquake did NOT interrupt raw material production used in Fab or Assembly processes - it did disrupt - temporarily - the production of key IC componenets used in various PCs and other electronic instruments.

Perhaps you might remember the Sumitomo Epoxy Resin factory explosion - around July 4, 1993 ?

That did impact - slightly - the IC assembly processes of most IC manufacturers.
