a double top occurs when a clear peak is followed by a smaller peak

the second peak seems to be a poor attempt to repeat the first nice clear peak
the second peak is regarded as a failure when it characteristically lacks volume, money flow, and wide range of buyers

other double tops can be just as high as the preceding
such equally sized double tops are not ominous
but they seem to happen much less often

the failed double top is ominous as hell
it usually ushers in a prolonged nasty time period
who knows if NazComp is exhibiting a failed double top now?
it sometimes appears to be a minor selloff prior to resumption of the uptrend

later, maybe much later, Jim
