Pacific Aerospace & Electronics Announces Filter Division Contract & Record Divisional Sales
WENATCHEE, Wash., July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Aerospace & Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCTH - news), an international fully integrated manufacturing company specializing in technically demanding components and assemblies, announced today that the Company has recently received a follow-on purchase agreement from a European telecommunications company to provide its micro-discoidal series of multi-layer ceramic capacitors.

Through the use of the Company's proprietary, discoidal ceramic filter technology, Pacific Aerospace & Electronics will manufacture miniaturized, through-bulkhead EMI/RFI filters to be used in the customer's hybrid MMIC-based microwave telecommunications modules. The customer is an industry leader in supplying miniaturized circuitry to the global market for cellular and data communications.

Pacific Aerospace also announced that its U.S. Electronics Group Filter division achieved record shipments for the month of June, far exceeding forecast for the period. In addition, the division achieved record orders during the month of June. Approximately 80% of the shipments and 85% of the orders are for products utilizing PA&E's micro and miniature discoidal capacitor technology and are from customers who manufacture electronic circuitry for use in data transmission and telecommunication systems.
