This is a summary of the conversation I had with the CTQ guys five minutes after getting the press release. They seemed pretty excited. Got a lot more clarification than I expected so I’m passing it on. I've written down the points covered in our conversation without taking time to put them in any particular order.

-CTQ is now very close to hitting their target of 1 billion tonnes of.8% primary ore and 200 million tonnes of enriched secondary ore of 1%+ (there may only be a dozen mines in the world with large amounts of .8%). They are looking at Chancho to make up the difference in the enriched secondary ore (channel samples indicate that this could happen) and view Mirador as important in making up the majority of their primary ore target.

-these results at Mirador could put them 6 month ahead of schedule which means the fall of this year could get pretty exciting for CTQ shareholders

-this could be a 1 billion tonne deposit of high grade primary as they don’t know the outside borders of the deposit yet and know that it is probably at least 1 sq. kilometer.

-to get the CU percentage with the gold percentage factored in you use the following formula:

1 g. gold =1/2% copper as this report is done in parts per billion, you basically move the decimal point over by 3 so 409 parts per billion = .4g On the first section of hole 20 the 409 ppb =.4 g. x ½% =2% Therefore .35% Cu +.2% gives us a CU% of 5.5 percent CU.

-doing this conversion gives us several intersections of over 1% CU and many over .75%

-although they haven’t found the high level of enriched primary from the supergene yet at this site, they are still looking for it and could still find it. It is a brecciated deposit (as shown by the sections in hole 20 for instance where there is a 12 metre dyke of .19 CU% sandwiched between 33 metres of .54 CU% and 111 metres of .75 CU%

-possibly half of the world’s copper deposits are brecciated so this is not unusual

-they have completed 20 holes and have the remainder of the holes shown on their site to drill (looks like a total of 27 to me)

A few points of clarification while I had their ear:

A second drill will be brought in as soon as the weather clears. They expected the rainy season to clear up by the end of April and it is still raining. It has been an accomplishment to keep one drill going in these conditions. At present they have a crew of 90 working clearing bush and assisting with the drilling.

I asked about the cost of labour. To a mining company producing the ore the low cost of labour in Ecuador doesn’t mean much as they have to have experts running the project. To an exploration company, the extremely low cost of labour is a real advantage. This is one of the reasons CTQ is coming in under budget and will be able to increase the number of drill holes they do.

I also asked again about the political climate. Again, there was no concern that this climate is that different than most other Latin American countries. It is not a threat as it might be in Russia or Abania. And there isn’t strong environmental pressure as there may be in Canada or the USA.

I’ll check my notes to see if I have anything else.
