TA, i agree that this new type of interaction with the market waits to surprise us with as-of-yet unforeseen consequences....but i don't think that the basic greed/fear/liquidity dynamics driving the market have changed one bit. admittedly the market manipulation has become more sophisticated with the use of derivative related strategies. but it still is a bubble of historically unique proportions. if you want to use balloon analogies, let's remain with the Hindenburg...the hydrogen zeppelin is the best metaphor. the hydrogen in this case is the Fed's fiat money which is coming hot off the presses day in day out...just as the Hindenburg's hydrogen this paper could one day burn...

mind you, i'm not predicting a complete collapse of the fiat system....but i will never tire to point out to what degree it is abused to create what is imo a precarious, and dangerously imbalanced financial system/state of affairs.

regards,

hb
