What is it about "choice" that is so difficult to grasp? If a woman is threatened with rape OR murder, sure she has a choice, but it does not come with the same freedom as one would normally want before making a choice. Would you tell a rape victim that she shouldn't get upset, because she had the freedom of choice?

You are agruing that Juan was free to chose, even though some of his choices could result in death or imprisonment for himself or his relatives back in Cuba.

Is that what you believe should define "freedom of choice"? Do you feel that someone has freedom of choice if he or she has a gun pointed at their head? The choice there is either do as you're told or you die.

I might not understand your interesting definition of freedom of choice, but I respect your right to feel that way, as long as I have the freedom to chose to do so.
