Never enough time. He crawled through dead and dying soldiers, searching them for their pay. Soldiers wouldn't fight unless paid before battle. The moaning young guy he was robbing pointed at his throat. He thrust his knife under the jawbone, and blood squirted out. Someone had to do it for our guys.
