well, it is quite clear that many things are being conveniently ignored by the US media...to wit, the recent dire warning by the BIS regarding the imbalances in the US economy. the ONLY international agency to have warned of the Asian crisis in time, and its warnings regarding the US economy are NOT reported? btw, i always doubted the gold manipulation story...what changed my mind was first the announcement of the BoE sales (yeah, right, you announce your gold sales in advance, to make SURE you get the worst possible price) and then the mobilization of Kuwait's gold reserves to squelch the rally after the Washington accord. that was too obvious and blatant. the producers should try to find allies among those CBs that look askance at the depreciation of their gold assets and do their utmost to manipulate in the other direction. look at it as a jihad...
