Geezo...how do I get involved in these things?!!! Somehow I've elected myself the Great Cyber Defender of Lernout against the evil Street.commie FUD spreaders !!! (g)

First -- let me say this...

advalorem...I am sure you are a "lost cause" as a potential LHSP stockholder...and that's no fault of your own -- we can pin that on Herbie & Jim and their relentless attacks on LHSP.

But please, you and others... ask yourself this..."What is their motive?!!!"

My daddy always taught me when you're looking for motives/reasons...."just follow the money!!!" and I'm sure if you followed the money trail created by LHSP tanking, it'll lead right to the doors of Jim & Herbie. (I'd be willing to bet there's a butt-load of put options out there with their fingerprints all over them.)

This is nothing but a self-serving hatchet job !!!

Example: One minute Jim Seymour is the friggin' financial high-tech genius, able to understand the most eloquent of technologies and dig thru and understand the complexities of a 25 page SEC filing, and the very next minute, you get this "Unfrozen Caveman Journalist" routine...

...."so that goes a little way toward explaining the puzzling report of the company's sales shooting up in Korea from $97,000 a year ago to $58.9 million in the first quarter of this fiscal year"

Pluuueeeeassseee !!! There's nothing "puzzling" here. I suggest anyone concerned with this journalistic twaddle go read the SEC filings. Yes, they are long and in places complex...but certainly understandable to most people. There's no big deep mystery or sinister plot being concealed/revealed. Here's what happened in a nutshell...

September 13, 1999

Lernout & Hauspie (L&H) announced the acquisition of Bumil Information & Communications, Ltd., one of Korea's developers of interactive voice, call center and other telecommunications market applications for $25 million in cash, with up to an additional $25 million earn-out to be paid in January 2001, based upon performance.

Then via their newly acquired Bumil...

December 28, 1999
Lernout & Hauspie (L&H) announced several deals with customers in the telecommunications, enterprise solutions and embedded technologies markets. Hyundai Securities, Samsung Securities, LG Securities, Daishin Securities and Daewoo Securities, along with more than 10 other securities companies, have selected L&H to develop client server solutions for on-line trading and automated dialogue systems that allow securities customers to receive stock quotes and trade.
..............

Then they spent the majority of the 1st Q of 2000 making good on those Korean contracts -- and taking in a whopping $58 million in the process. And they're promising to do even MORE in the 2nd half !!!

So where's the friggin mystery?!!! LHSP is still a relative small company -- they don't vast legions of employees... they have to concentrate their efforts-- and they're doing a damn fine job -- geez...they're growing at near triple-digit rates. Yet somehow Herbie -- via F.U.D. -- has turned the tables so that instead of LHSP being applauded for this spectacular performance, they're actually being faulted for scoring big-time in Korea !!!

This reminds me of a scene out of an old Woody Allen film...

There's a circle of women chatting at a cocktail party, and one of them announces...

"I FINALLY had my first orgasm"

And the rest of the women proceed to congratulate her, until she reveals...

"But my therapist said it was the wrong kind"
.......

I mean really...who gives a crap ?!!! You didn't !!!...at least not until Herbie & Co planted those seeds of doubt.

I just hate to see those Street.commie clowns win...I guess it DOES prove an old adage...."never get in an argument with someone who buys ink by the barrel !!!"

I just hope you remember your "buddies" Herb and Jim the next time you read that LHSP had another stock split.

good luck.
