Jim, I'm just getting interested in T/A with a psych tint. Have you read a book called "Trading for a Living" by Dr. Alexander Elders. He is a trained psychologist who gave up medicine to trade. I saw him speak this weekend and bought his book. Fascinating stuff. Early on he equates losing traders to alcoholics and suggests the 12 step program as a cure. I don't think he is talking about compulsive gamblers who use the stock market ... rather people who make bad trades.
