Market sentiment was helped at the outset by a 2.52 percent jump in the Nasdaq composite index (^IXIC - news) overnight, traders said. China Mobile , formerly known as China Telecom, was leading the market higher. By mid-morning the stock was up 3.61 percent at HK$71.75, helped by a report in The Asian Wall Street Journal that China is preparing to open its telecom sector to foreign investors. biz.yahoo.com
