Understanding Korea -

Korea can handle all domestic requirements with existing spectrum - especially with upgrades to CDMA 2000 planned.

What logic is there for selecting CDMA 2000 for the new spectrum? Their opportunity with new spectrum is to expand their market outside the country. As things stand, it's more logical to propose doing so with wCDMA.

On another note, there have been curious statements by SK concerning compatibility between their existing CDMA systems and prospective new wCDMA systems that have me puzzled...

Makes sense.

regards,
blg
