Ian you misunderstood the article.
90% of the sales came from the CLEC (independent competitive carriers in the US), NOT from Alcatel.

Alcatel generated 50%. Of course Alacatel is really Newbridge in disguise........and in the past Newbridge accounted for MORE than 50% of CKY business. So in fact CKY is REDUCING their dependence on one major customer (Newbridge/Alcatel)

Going forward, I am very bullish on ALA (old ALA divisions -- not the Newbridge division) contributing LOT more. The fact that ALA has not sold off their CKY position after acquiring NN is also interesting as it may imply ALA's interest in CKY as either a JV partner OR a potential acquisition target.

Both LU and NT has made substantial acquisitions in the telecom software sector and usually ALA follows them eventually!

Not that I think CKY needs ALA to buy them out -- CKY is positioned greatly for huge growth as the networking market truly start de-regulating and bringing out new converged IP based applications.

Long term investors will do very well I believe.
