That statement you made is very accurate and only those who work in the industry and attend conferences know this to be a fact.

As an investor, you would never believe this is happening and that is the problem.

However....

...this is where I disagree with you. With all the talk that NOVL is cheap at $14, there are many investors who will jump on this ship hoping to see it rise to its haydays as a $30 stock. To short NOVL over the next three - six months in my opinion could be a mistake.
Allow the stock to hit a 52-week high ($15 5/8 is in my opinion far too low in comparison to last years high of $24+) and then might be a good time to short...that is if the situation then is the same or worse than it is today (re: NT vs NW 4.x).

The company is betting on Green River and it would be a mistake to short the stock until the final tally is in.....Q1 1997.
