I don't agree with the conclusions in the SSB report, but my opinion isn't worth all that much. I don't see that much capacity coming on line until late 2001 at best.

The mainframe slowdown certainly is real. A hangover Y2K effect or a shift in how corporations manage their information, take a guess and place your bets.

Just thought I would post that article to see if I could rile things up here, the AMD thread is unusually quiet.
