Scumbria... Now that I know you can't figure percentages I find that you can't read either. Below is my post verbatim with the exception of my bold highlights.

"When the semis start to come back up keep an eye on AMD. I don't think they will recover as fast as RAMBUS and INTEL. If this turns out to be true then you can say that AMD's T-Bird 1 GHz chip (it's not a T-Bird (motherboard) contributed to their drop today. They were the one company that had a delayed opening. They were down 9 points before SSB's analyst remarks could take effect. Why were they down so much and so early? If there is some recovery tomorrow in the semis and AMD remains somewhat static or drops more then I am going to assume the above is correct in addition to adverse effects of the VIA + INTEL agreement on AMD. JMHO. ."

Since these thing did not come to pass then it is obvious that it was not the T-Bird 1GHz chip screw-up that caused AMD to drop but rather was the result of all the semis dropping. Exactly as my post implies.
