In the Elian case, the manipulation of Juan and propaganda effort by Cuba's entrenched, small minded, totalitarian government stunk to high heaven.

I've read and heard many say that Juan "freely" chose to go back to Cuba with Elian. There are many thousands languishing in Cuban prisons, because they "freely" chose to speak out against Castro.

Imagine, in this country, if you could be imprisoned for speaking out against President Clinton, or V.P. Gore. Everyone would be in prison!
