Bob, I for one prefer the hot subject list without the coffee shop threads. There are many different ways of using SI, and as one who uses it principally for investment purposes rather than social chat, I find the Hot Subject list much more useful without the more chat-oriented threads.

Maybe it would be possible to accommodate different SI member needs by having multiple hot subject lists or sub-lists, one for Coffee Shop threads, one for biotech investing, etc. ?
