Well ... observe if you like how i did phrase that, Michael -
"Oh what a crock, Mr Boortz"
Sorry if that wasn't clear.
As for the 'rofl', you have taken it to be directed at the lack of warning, whereas it was intended more to apply to the other hilarious bit, 'god-fearing' or 'upstanding' or 'law-abiding', something like that .. don't have time to look it up.
'Reno's intelligence', btw, resulted in a successful release of the boy without anyone hurt ... the use of surprise was a factor in this i would suspect.
In re Reagan and the land mines of his gangsters - No, not a red herring. Part and parcel of US-latino relations. How long will the memory last? - i have no idea ... but John L. O'Sullivan is still well remembered ... hard to say, perhaps some generations after the last ones go off ... they're still going off, btw, a child was killed in front of his mother only two or three months ago ... Don't hold your breath, i'd say.
We remember Mark Twain as well ... it's not a one-sided picture ... fyi.
Very pressed for time here ... all your points have been addressed upthread anyway, please refer to previous posts if anything's unclear ... hope that helps ... cháu |
