Ted, If it was up to me, I would have a news only thread, with minimal number of comments, and a regular thread (like this one) where we debate the news, and even get into arguments. While I don't have a strong opinion about moderated / exclusive vs. free for all, I understand that when the Free for all thread degenerates into Yahoo like BBS, something has to be done, and moderated thread is one way out. I don't think this thread went over the threshold to become useless (like Yahoo), I understand that other people may have a different treshold. Joe
