Free LD..on a regular line..have to listen to one min. of BS though.TelZero Inc. Announces Free Long-Distance Service

Business Editors and Telecommunications Writers

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 2000--TelZero
Inc.(sm), a Fort Lauderdale-based telecommunications company, today
launched free national long-distance telephone service for residents
of Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. The free service in the
three counties is the kickoff of TelZero's plans to expand the free
calling service to residents of all 48 contiguous states.
TelZero offers callers five minutes of free, long-distance service
per call via a toll-free number. Users receive up to 120 minutes per
month, free of charge. Callers don't have to change their
long-distance carriers to use TelZero and can make as many calls as
they want within the 120 minutes per month.
"What's exciting about TelZero's long-distance service is that
anyone with a phone can use it," said Gavin Kahn, Executive Vice
President of TelZero Inc. "You do not need a computer or special
equipment and you don't have to purchase anything. You simply pick up
your phone and dial the 1-888-FREE-CALL toll-free number."
First-time users call the toll-free number, answer four
demographic questions and receive a Personal Identification Number
(PIN). Then they listen to one minute of advertisements geared
directly to them based on the answers they give. Once these steps are
completed, callers can make a five-minute phone call anywhere in the
contiguous United States.
After the first call, users only have to enter their PIN number,
answer zero to two questions and listen to one minute of targeted
advertisements before they receive their free call of up to five
minutes. Because the callers answer questions regarding their
preferences, the advertisements are all targeted to their likes and
interests. The caller will hear a whisper message warning 30 seconds
prior to the five minutes' expiration, much like a calling card. Users
on the other end of the phone call never hear the advertisement or
even know it is a free call. Additionally, consumers will not be
subjected to any follow-up telemarketing calls. TelZero offers
consumers significant monthly savings on their long-distance calls.
"Not only do the consumers receive free long-distance calls, but
advertisers are able to deliver their messages to those people who are
interested in and likely to use their services or buy their products,"
said Kahn. "Our initial advertisers are very excited about this
ability to target new customers and it's a true 'win-win' for
consumers and advertisers."
For the launch of the TelZero service, approximately 100
advertisers, both local and national, have signed on. Among them are
FTD.com, Gold's Gym, Warren Henry Jaguar, OnLoan.com, Jiffy Lube
International and the Broward County Chamber of Commerce.
TelZero Inc. is a Fort Lauderdale-based telecommunications/media
company created to provide consumers with free long-distance services.
TelZero offers a unique benefit to consumers while providing
advertisers with unprecedented target marketing capabilities.
