The problem with the FUD . . . . is that anybody who invested in Qualcomm after October 1999 has been destroyed if that person used-- A) margin B) options C) credit cards D) second martgages E) all of the above --to invest in this company during the wrong "time capsule." I realize that management cannot preoccupy itself with its stock price. But I am surprised that in this day and age the company has no advertising campaign whatsoever. "Qualcomm Inside" "CDMA Inside" I am amazed how many of my friends have never heard of the company. This is a company has been called by experts "the next Microsoft." Most laymen are pretty unaware of technological companies. Even though I am well educated and used to be a federal antitrust prosecutor, I had never heard of Cisco Systems two years ago and until last year I had though Nokia was a Japanese company. Imagine how informed is the average person, many of whom are either retail investors or influence their stockbrokers. "Buy me some shares of that cool Japanese company, Nokia. OK?" "Qualcomm Inside" "CDMA Inside" My Sprint PCS (Qualcomm inside) cellphone is incredible. But Sprint's advertising campaign NEVER mentions Qualcomm.
