I am curious as to what offended you.

Did you think the man (I probably should say person so as not to show any gender bias) was portrayed in a bad light? If so, why and what makes you think others interpreted the story in the same way?

If the story was about me and my family I would not have been offended or felt ashamed. I only feel that way when there is some breach of moral or ethical character like cheating someone. Ignorance, even to the point of stupidity is not a reason to look down on someone, we are not all blessed with the same intelligence. If a bald man is stupid it does not reflect on all bald men, in fact it doesn't reflect on him in the sense of me looking down on him. But if a bald man is rude and a lout, a liar and a scoundrel, well then I will look down on him but not all bald men.

So this balding jewish man, did he show any character flaws? I think not, in fact I would like to meet him, he sounds like an interesting fellow.
