I wonder. If the political system allows accumulation and use of great wealth to influence laws regulating the economy (as it does) it permits creation of great inequality. Perot can have his own party. Why not Gates? Had he been alert enough, I believe he could have by spending a few billion dollars a year created nationwide free capitalism. The logic is powerful. Most businessmen agree. A majority of citizens agree. By steering clear of controversy like death penalty and abortion, Gates party could have put some committed capitalists on the Supreme Court, modified or repealed anti-trust laws. He was just too dumb. Should have finished college.
