The situation with Qualcomm is a classic "when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em" situation.

I am holding.

Why?

My suggestion is that the stronger risk management play is to assume that since we know that Qualcomm is a CDMA voice gorilla now and a prospective data CDMA gorilla sometime in the relatively near future, the better option is to be in, not out.

While I agree with you that I do not see a major rise in stock price for Qualcomm until the fall, I frankly am not sure when that rise will happen.

All I am sure of is that it will.

So holding makes sense to me. Lesser risk.
