I do not see much pricing power at the basic goods/materials level.Sure PD is reducing capacity but are the other producers doing this as well? The fuel surcharges are real but crude oil seems to have reached the peak.Overall I just do not see indications for a runaway inflation.
However, i see that even a moderate slowdown for the economy will result in profit warnings for old economy companies.
The real risk for the stockmarket is, that a slowdown for the old economy also leads to a slowdown for the new economy.
The only companies I like are the Telco's (VZ, BLS, ATT) and insurance companies). Both are fairly reasonable valuations and won't be affected by a slowdown of the economy, IMHO.
