Thats why I asked on another thread how many management layers there are at GNET now.

I have always found that once you have human resource policies in place, out go the good engineers. There is something in HR theory that says engineering should be a homogeneous activity where anyone is replaceable with the right management structure. In practice I think thats untrue, and thats why so many startups kill the "mature companies".

I wonder if gnet put in some structured management which pushed the star engineers into a standard role, where they used to run the whole show.
