James, after reading through Pastor David's testimony I can't understand why the church elders refused to hear him out. Isn't that their responsibility? I would think that such issues should be carefully examined by both parties. To refuse a member of the congregation to speak with their former pastor is outrageous! I have read Foxes book of Martyrs and have not till this time found a better account of Christian persecution since the time of Christ. The author states that the emperor Domitian banished John to the isle of Patmos where he received the book of Revelation by Jesus himself. Now tell me if I'm wrong but preterists place the events and visions to the first century A.D. church specificially during the fall of Jerusalem. John spoke in highly symbolic definition so that only those who were true believers would know what he was talking about while the general populace would stay in their ignorance. Before I go any further let me know if this is what preterists believe. Chris
