Brian, just saw Dan Niles interviewed by Maria Bartiromo (probably done yesterday). His #1 pick among the equips is AMAT. He said he expects to hear some of "his companies" say next week at the semi confab that they'll be adding capacity. "His companies" I assume to mean his favorite semis, which he had just gotten done calling as Intel, MU and AMD.

Dan also laughed off the comments by a certain someone this past week (Maria brought it up), and said he thought the current cycle was good at least through 2001, and that some semi stocks could easily add another 50%.

Before that, Maria interviewed Craig Barrett. Things sound just fine at Intel, from what he said.
