I don't know if you are an experienced short seller or not. I am not. one of my short selections quadrupled before it came back down to earth. Sometimes I think to myself that if I have had success on the longside why should I try something new which may tie up funds and be less successful.
Personally I think it is very dangerous to short something that is going straight up. Many of us felt that NTOP was very overpriced and it went up to 90 or so before falling back to reality. I would appreciate any strategic input you have to offer on this topic. In retrospect I think there are solid opportunities in shorting, but it may lie in issues where the accounting is flawed and there are industry downtrends rather than in issues which seem merely overpriced.
