I think that first, it is important to believe that St. John is predicting, on the eve of the Parousia, the end of the Jewish age. Jesus predicts during the Olivet discourse the destruction of Jerusalem, and the dispersion of the Jews, all of which took place in 70AD. In this same discourse Jesus speaks pointedly of His parousia within the same context and time frame. Most conservervative view is that part of the Olivet Discourse was fulfilled in A.D. 70 and that the other is still unfulfilled. The full preturist view is that the bulk of New Testament prophesy has already come to pass. The main reason for not naming the true anti-christ is because it was a death sentence to anyone who would say that any God was above Nero. Nero was the Anti-Christ who would defame the Temple by putting Roman seals of Eagles on the walls. I believe that this difference between conservative and full Preturists will be the main focal point that we will have to consider. What ever each one of us comes to believe will be a matter for his own beliefs, and should not cause any dissension between any of us provided we believe that some of the predictions of Jesus about the 70AD incident is true.
