hi 88 re "Which Norton product should I get if my next defrag try hangs up again?" i recommend the package of utility components (called a suite) that come bundled as 'systemworks2000'. symantec.com but if you would like to try before you buy... it looks like you can download a trialware copy of norton utilities4.5 (nu) at this site: symantecstore.com nu is a major component that comes bundled on the above mentioned 'systemworks2000'. once you have nu on your machine, you can defrag efficiently. i also recommend that you run nu's 'windoctor' (under 'find and fix problems'). the defrag tool is called 'speed disk' and it's found under the 'improve performance' category. a longtime contributor to this thread, jw, recently downloaded nu trialware #reply-13972834. good luck :) mark
