I still think Joseph's call was a grandstand play, whether he's simply doing his job or not. Another thing comes to mind in Barrett's interview by Maria Friday. They were talking about the unexpected extra demand in the first half, and she said why did Intel miss it. Barrett said, hey, everyone missed it. So, if the industry is just starting to get blindsided by much greater than expected demand, why should it start to go away so soon? Things that big have to have momentum and inertia, and things were good anyway, so they are not going to turn this quickly.
Funny about Cramer's recalling Kurlak's trip to see the opening of Intel's Ireland plant. I always accused him of never showing up to kick bricks and mortar in Silicon Valley, and here he's traveling to Ireland.
Anyway, I think this line sums it up:
Joseph's job is to be early.
So he calls it over and over every quarter or so until he's bound to be right...maybe.
