i recall seeing a similar crash at the glen several years back that resulted in a fatality (one of the old, old time winston cup drivers). the glen put a lot of money and planning into safety as a result of the incident and the johnson crash was proof positive that it was well worth it. if there is room without eliminating passing, i sure would like to see foam and deformable boiler plate in place on all of the tracks with the retaining wall problem. listening to the interviews with the drivers, i bet some kind of a kill switch is going to be introduced fairly shortly as well.
