milo, cirrus, re:no Durons. I agree the K6-2's have to disappear before the retailers will sell the superior Durons. There's a similar situation with AMD notebooks. Why would anyone want a K6-2-550 32M notebook (Compaq) at the same price as an HP K6-2+ 500 64M notebook? Meanwhile the Celeron II launch was less than stellar at retail. I only saw two 667 MHz Celeron advertised in the Sunday supplements, compared to over a dozen 600 MHz and lower. No 700's whatsoever. Since the fastest PIII anyone has available is 733 MHz, why would a retailer advertise a 700 MHz Celeron at a much lower price? Petz
