RE: 1) The processors coming from the fabrication plant in Dresden, Germany is pumping out Athlon’s that use copper interconnects, instead of the aluminum interconnects of the Austin, TX fabrication plant. AMD reports that there is no gain in performance in the Dresden processors, but that using copper interconnects makes processor scaling simpler"

and you say, The initial Copper ThumperTurds are NO faster than the aluminum ones !!

What a buffoon!

Did you really expect a 1 GHz Cu-interconnect Athlon to run faster than a 1 GHz Al-interconnect Athlon? Please explain how you expected this to happen.

Its clear from AMD's statement that higher speed grades will be possible for the Cu-process.
Actually, its quite clear that AMD expects at least one more speed grade from the Al process and more than one speed grade from the Cu process. They expect both processes to "scale" but this scaling will be easier for the Cu process.
