Was it Miss Daisy that declared it to be
a ridiculous sad state of affairs when she
learned that GATA, the Gold Anti Trust Action
non profit organization gata.org
tried to obtain donations of large in $500 size
from gold producing companies through them
receiving a piece of art?

Well, seems like just the opposite of a daisy is
now here, as she is indeed of a miss'ed that one.

GNN obtained thru the gata grape vines, the following.

[start.]

"Alain Despert’s new Absente image,
“The Green Fairy,” which will appear
in international magazines this Fall,
is also going to be released as a
limited edition print. Only two artists
have been selected for this
Michelle Roux campaign, Alain Despert
and world renowned Prince of Pop artist,
Romero Britto. Britto's prints sell for.....

"Worldwide demand of Alain Despert’s work
is increasing rapidly, as is its market value.
His work is primarily original paintings on canvas
which currently sell from $5,000 to $15,000.
He has only released 3 prints of his work
for special projects, the GATA print being one.

"The GATA limited edition print was initially offered
significantly below market value in support
of the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee
for the first year and initial phase of the release.
The print will now be offered for $750 as of July 17, 2000.
As time goes on and supply of the prints diminishes.....
... the price will be boosted to its fair market value of $1,000.

If you have been thinking of supporting our efforts.....

[end.]
