Which new restaurant is that? By reputation, Chanterelle is the current "best". I tried to make reservations, but they were going on vacation when I was up (it is a husband/wife team). They accept reservations only a month ahead, and their tasting menu is $89. Lutece, the grandaddy of fine French restaurants, is normally about $65 a head, and the tasting menu is only about 10 dollars more. I have never heard of any restaurant exceeding $100 per head, without special ordering, like mounds of beluga. Does it have a web site?
