The point I got from her use of the peace symbol was the hypocrisy that the crowd which protested for peace, seems to be the same crowd so willing now to use mafia like tactics now that they're in power.

If a person who thinks differently at 50 than they did at 20 is a hypocrite, there must certainly be plenty of those around.

It might be argued that a person could believe that it is wrong to fight undeclared wars to ensure that the governments of faraway countries are acceptable to us, and also believe that the government has the right to us force to ensure that their own citizens comply with the law, without seeing any major contradiction. A touch of the apples-and-oranges, perhaps.
