Who else is out there that GLW might be interested in now that SDL is off the market. I don't know enough about BKHM to comment, though I do know they have good management. As for other FO targets, I like NUFO. They're a recent IPO but have been around for ten years and have a long list of stellar customers. They don't do actives, so can't be compared to SDLI. Great passives, though, including tunable lasers. A private co. I like (and hold a position in) is ITF Optical and if what's going on in the industry is any guide, the only worry is that they might not make it to IPO before someone takes them out. EXFO makes optical networking test equipment, so wouldn't be a target like the components' players. However, strength in the industry is just as real for them as anyone else. Pat
