Successfully Complete Field Trials Of
National LMDS Broadband Wireless
Network

YUBA CITY, Calif. & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 2000--Alcatel (NYSE: ALA - news) and Prime
Companies (OTC BB: PRMC - news) today announced the successful completion of field trials of a Local Multipoint
Distribution System (LMDS) high-speed broadband wireless access network for small- and medium-sized businesses.

Working with LMDS Communications, Inc., a subsidiary of Prime Companies, Alcatel began field trials of Prime
Companies' LMDS network using the Alcatel LMDS broadband wireless access solution, in March in New Castle,
Penn. LMDS Communications has a corridor of LMDS (28GHz) A band licenses in Pennsylvania, and New York, and
is ranked in the top 10 of LMDS A band license holders in the U.S.

``With the successful completion of these field trials, we plan to deploy our LMDS network using Alcatel's solution in
additional markets throughout the remainder of the year,'' said Norbert Lima, chief executive officer of Prime
Companies. ``Small- and medium-sized businesses in these markets will be able to use this high-speed wireless access
network to build traditional and e-commerce businesses.''
